آلة جزّ الأعشاب

اخترع الإنجليزيان بودينغ وفارابي عام 1831 آلة جز الأعشاب ، صممها الأول ونفذها الثاني. و كان يتعين إحاطة حوافر الحصان الذي يجر تلك الآلة بأحذية حقيقية من المطاط كيلا يتلف العشب.

وفي النصف الثاني من القرن التاسع عشر تم اختراع آلة لجز الأعشاب تعمل بالبخار. و تلت ذلك اختراع آلة أخرى ذات محرك لجز الأعشاب ، وهذه الأخيرة لا يكف صانعوها عن تطويرها سنة بعد سنة لتخفيض ضوضائها.

أما بالنسبة للآلة الكهربائية لجز الأعشاب ، فقد أنتجت شركة وولف أول آلة كهربائية ذات سلاح دوار ( روتاري ) لجز الأعشاب عام 1958. وقد حاز آخر طراز منها ذاتي الحركة باسم ” يوروتوندور ” الميدالية الفضية في المعرض الزراعي بفرنسا عام 1984.

وهناك آلة بوسادة هوائية لجز الأعشاب قدمت في صالون الزراعة عام 1965 ، وهي مزودة بشفرة رأسية ومروحة قوية تصنع وسادة هوائية أسفل غطائها المصنوع من البلاستيك توفر لها خفة في الوزن بنسبة فعالة في مواجهة العوائق والمنحدرات.
