اشتهر بريجيت كصانع للأدوات الدقيقة بالغة الدقة والانتظام بما في ذلك الساعات الفلكية والساعات البحرية ( الكرونومترات البحرية ).

أجرى تحسينات على الساعات مثل استعمال الحجارة الكريمة كالروبي مثلاً في نقاط ارتكاز المحار المتحركة ( تجنبا ً لتآكل المواد المعدنية نتيجة للاحتكاك )

واخترع بريجيت نابضاً شعرياً للساعات.

وانتقلت المهنة من عائلة فبرز إلى ثلاثة من أحفاده هم : لوي فرانسوا كليمان Louis Francios Clement   وكان فيزيائياً ومخترعاً وصانع ساعات.

أما ابنه انتوان Antoine  فقد كان مهندسا ً كهربائيا ً وصناعيا ً ومخترعا ً أيضا ً.

والسليل الثالث ابن لويس فرانسوا كان صانع طائرات جهز طائرة عمودية ( هليكوبتر ) حلقت في الجو وبها ركاب.

وكان يدعى لويس شارك ( 1881-1955 ).
