درس العلوم العامة وبرع في الميكانيكا والفيزياء.

ومن أهم أعماله :

– وضع عدة اختراعات في الهاتف فحسن سبل استخدامه ونفَّذ أول شبكة هاتفية في باريس عام 1880.

– اكتشف طريقة لالتقاط الصوت على المسرح ووضع أسس الهندسة الصوتية في القاعات وعلى المسارح.

– اكتشف في ميدان الطيران أول آلة طائرة اسمها Leole .

 – وفي العام 1891 أطلق L’Eole II فنال موضوعه هذا اهتمام الجميع بما فيهم المسئولين الكبار في السلطة.

– وفي العام 1892 أطلق L’Eole III فأطلق عليها اسم طائرة Avion ونال بواسطتها شهادة بالاختراع وهي تشبه الخفاش الكبير.

– وفي 14 تشرين الأول / أكتوبر سنة 1897 في ساتوري انطلقت الطائرة كما يجب أن تسير في إقلاع وطيران بواسطة محرَّك.

– يمكننا الآن رؤية طائرة أدير معروضة في متحف الكونسر فواتوار للمدرسة المهنية والفنية.
