الأجراس

تعتبر الأجراس أدوات تستعمل للحصول على صوت موسيقي عندما نضربها.

ويمكن أن نعتبر الأجراس إحدى الآلات الموسيقية الأولى التي اخترعها الإنسان وهي تعود إلى أوقات متناهية في القدم بحيث لا نستطيع تقصي صانعيها ومعرفتهم.

وقبل حوالي ( 400 ) عام مثلا ً لدى الصينيين آلة تتألف من 16 حجرا ً منبسطا ً معلقة على إطار وهذه الأحجار كانت تصدر أصواتا ً غريبة عند ضربها بمضرب خشبي.

طبعا ً نحن نفكر بالأجراس كونها مصنوعة من المعادن ، ويقال أن الملك سليمان كان لديه أجراس ذهبية موضوعة على سطح الهيكل لإفزاع الطيور.

وكان لدى اليونانيين والرومان القدماء أجراس من جميع الأنواع بما فيها الأجراس اليدوية.

وكانت الكهنة تستعمل هذه الأجراس في أثينا.

وعندما كان أحد الملوك يموت في إسبارطة كانت النساء يَطُفْنَ في الشوارع يقرعن أجراسا ً صغيرة.

ولقد وجدت أجراس برونزية في الحفريات التي حدثت في نينوى التي خربت حوالي 612 ق. م.

وقد وجدت أجراس صغيرة في القبور القديمة في ( بيرو ) وعمرها يبلغ 1500 عام.

وحالما تطور الجرس من شكله البدائي ، ومر على حالتين : الأولى الأجراس الشرقية والثانية الأجراس الغربية

ففي الشرق كان الجرس قد تطور إلى شكل وعائي وشكل قرصي ( أي شكل قرص ) وهذا الشكل القرصي من الواضح أنه ذو أصل شرقي

أما الوعائي فقد تطور إلى الشكل العيني والياباني من الأجراس التي تشبه البراميل.

وفي الحضارة الغربية تطور الجرس ليصبح بشكل الكأس أو الفنجان وبعدها أحدثت له مطرقة بحيث كان يُطرق أو يُدق من الداخل

ولقد اخترع الجرس الكبير الموضوع بشكل مقلوب فوق الكنائس قبل حوالي 400 عام

والأجراس البرونزية المستعملة في هذه الأيام تتألف من 80% نحاس و 20% قصدير.
